Faroese national carrier Atlantic Airways will operate the first scheduled nonstop service between the U.S. and the Faroe Islands in the later summer and early fall.
The weekly service runs from Stewart Airport, about an hour north of New York, to Vagar Airport, the Faroe Islands’ only commercial airport. Atlantic Airways will operate a weekly seven-hour flight from August 22 to October 4, with flights to the Faroe Islands on Wednesdays and flights to Stewart on Tuesdays.
